Statement of faith
We firmly believe in the Holy Scriptures as the infallible word of God, the Triune nature of the Godhead, Holy Baptism, and that every human being is made in the image of God, deserving of dignity and respect
what we believe

We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word, and that it is infallible and
inerrant in its original manuscripts. The Bible is God's voice to mankind, instructing in the ways of righteousness and doctrine. The answers to all of man's questions pertaining to the will of God are found in the Word of God, and they are applicable to our everyday lives.
(2 Timothy 3:16; Joshua 1:8; James 1:22-23)
We believe in the Trinity which is God revealed and existing in three coequal persons of one substance, power, and eternity - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
(2 Corinthians 13:14; Luke 1:35; Matthew 28:19; Matthew 3:16-17; John 14:16-17;
Romans 14:17-18; Luke 3:21-22; 1 Peter 1:1-2; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; Ephesians
4:4-6)
We believe in God the Father, the one true, holy, and living God, creator, Sovereign, and Preserver of all things visible and invisible. He is infinite in power, wisdom, justice, goodness and love. He continually upholds and directs all creatures and events. He saves from sin all who come to Him through Jesus Christ to the glory of His name.
(Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 1:13-14; Exodus 3:14; John 1:12;
1 Peter 1:3)
We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man, in whom
the divine and human natures are perfectly and inseparably united. He is the eternal Word made flesh, the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary. As a Servant, He lived, suffered, and died on the cross in our place for our sins. He was buried, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven to be with the Father, from whence He shall return. He is eternal Savior and Mediator, who intercedes for us, and by Him, all mankind will be judged.
(Luke 9:20; Luke 22:70; Luke 19:10; Matthew 18:11; Luke 23:42-43; John 1:1)

We believe in God the Holy Spirit who proceeds from and is one in being with the Father and the Son. He convinces the world of sin, righteousness and judgment and regenerates, sanctifies and empowers all who believe in Jesus Christ. He comforts, sustains, and empowers the faithful and guides them so they are enabled to live godly lives.
(John 14:26; Romans 8:26; Acts 2:38; Acts 1:8; John 14:16-17; John 16:9-14;
Galatians 5:22-26)
We believe that mankind is born with a sinful nature. Our sin separates us from God so that we do not know, love, or serve Him as we should, and we do not love Him or our neighbors as ourselves. As a result of his sinful nature, man was condemned to the wrath of God.
(Psalms 51:5; Romans 5:12; Genesis 6:5; Ephesians 1:3; Genesis 3:1-7; John 3:36;
Romans 6:23)
We believe in the Church, in the power and significance of the church, and in the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for worship, praise, prayer, celebration of the Lord's Supper, baptism and fellowship. Just before his ascension, Jesus commanded the church to "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." God has individually equipped us to be successful in achieving these three commands and His purpose for our lives.
(Hebrews 10:24-25; Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 4:11-13; Romans 10:17; Matthew
28:19-20)
We believe that salvation is wholly of God by grace on the basis of the redemption of Jesus Christ, the merit of His shed blood, and not on the basis of human merit or worth. Grace is free and is not earned by deeds or acts we perform. We understand and believe that we are saved by grace, through faith, apart from works.
(John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; Ephesians 2:8-10; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
We believe in the Lord's Supper, communion, as a memorial to the body and blood of Christ in that it reminds us of Jesus' substitutionary death on the cross for the sins of the world. We believe it is Christ's table and should be open to all who are born-again believers, walking in fellowship with their Lord and with each other. Communion is a time for personal self-examination of one's sin and

need for forgiveness. We believe partaking of the Lord's Supper is not necessary to receive grace and that Jesus words concerning the elements of communion are figurative.
(Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:22-29;
Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:2-4; 1 John 1:8-9; Romans 12:18; Ephesians 2:8-
9; Titus 3:5)
We believe in baptism which takes place after a person has received Jesus
Christ as Savior, trusting in Him alone for salvation. We believe in baptism by immersion which adequately illustrates what baptism symbolizes - believers dying, being buried with Christ, and being raised to newness of life. Baptism is to be done in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe it is an important act of obedience to the Lord after salvation and cannot be a requirement for salvation. It is through this ordinance that a person is admitted into the fellowship of the church and even though we believe in the biblical act of immersion, we do accept members with other versions of baptism.
(Matthew 28:18-20; Romans 6:3-5; 1 Corinthians 12:13; 1 Peter 3:21; Galatians 3:27; John 3:16; Acts 2:41-42; Acts 16:30-31; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5)
We believe God created all human beings in His image to bring Him glory.
Therefore, we believe that all human life is sacred and that we must honor the dignity of God's image bearers. In following Christ's example, we believe every person should be treated with love, dignity, and respect.
(Psalms 139:13-14; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-40; Galatians 6:10; Genesis 1:26;
Isaiah 43:7)
